Ireland keeps on chucking up huge bass

I spoke with Patrick over in Ireland last night, and late on Thursday they took a really big bass of around 12lbs, and once again on the outstanding Tackle House Feed Shallow (see here) - another cracking fish, nice one guys. The shore fishing has been fairly tough over there for a few days now, but I would imagine that the shift in wind direction is going to fire it up for them. Still, a 12lb fish kind of makes up for the tough times !!!

A photo of the fish and all contact details for Patrick's bass guiding service can be found here. There is a permanent link to Patrick's regularly updated bass blog on this page, so make sure to check it out as often as possible - and I am not going to apologise for the "I want to move over there and live" feelings that will no doubt ensue with many anglers. I know the grass is always greener and all that, but there is no getting away from the fact that the Emerald Isle offers some truly outstanding shore fishing for bass. Our own fishing here in the UK simply does not compare. That is not a complaint, it's fact. Just imagine the fishing we could have over here if the right controls were put in place.............
