It’s most likely very unlikely that anybody can get away at such short notice, but due to a very last minute cancellation we have a space available over two of these co-guiding trips that John Quinlan and I do over in that little corner of heaven which is Kerry in south west Ireland. There have been a bunch of bass around recently, as well as all your pollack, wrasse etc., and they have also been finding some good salmon fishing as well. I don’t need to bang on about how special Ireland is a place for fishing holiday, and these co-guiding trips are based on five nights full board accommodation and four (long) days fishing. Below are a bunch of photos from what John and I do together over there.
As I said, this is a short notice thing - the first trip is arrive Tuesday 11th August, fish 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and then depart on Sunday 16th August. The second trip is arrive Sunday 16th August, fish 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and then depart Friday 21st August. We have this cancellation space on both of the trips and of course we will do a good deal on the price if anybody can pick this place up at such short notice. One of our clients is in fact coming along for both trips and he is taking the ferry from Pembroke on Monday and then returning Saturday 22nd August, and he is more than happy to have somebody jump in his car with him. Other options are to fly to Cork or Dublin and pick up a hire car, grab the ferry yourself from either Fishguard (StenaLine) or Pembroke (Irish Ferries) to Rosslare, or see if you can find a flight into Kerry airport.
If any of you can do a trip like this at such short notice, the best thing to do is to get hold of me via the Contact Me page on this website (here). I am around and about until I head over to Ireland myself and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible - unless of course we get another morning’s cricket like we did yesterday, and I might not be so prompt!! Holy cow where did that come from? The Aussies out for 60, Stuart Broad on fire, and a lead of over 200 at the end of the first day. Yes, the first day. At least if we win the Ashes in the next few days you will have to endure very little cricket talk from me if you can make either (or both) of these Kerry trips, unless that is you are an Aussie and I will berate you without mercy……all out for 60!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, my thanks for reading. At this time of year I don’t feel confident that people can do something like this at such short notice, but who knows? We have such fun on these trips and I can’t wait to get back over there. Have a good weekend all of you and may we win the Ashes sometime before I put up a very interesting interview with James Davis from Nice Fish! (UK importer of Major Craft, Sunline etc.) on Monday morning. Smash ‘em - fish and Aussie cricketers!! (sorry Brucie)
