I am still whacking needlefish out and doing no more than winding them straight back in, and they continue to work just fine…………
It’s still the most extraordinary buzz catching bass in the dark on such simple lures fished in such simple ways
I can’t believe how excited I am getting these days about what are essentially “straight sticks” that do so little in the water, but to me needlefish are changing our bass fishing for the better

Finally, some “UK bass size”, off the shelf and not very expensive needlefish are now available in the UK - yippee!
Is it my imagination, or are there more and more lure anglers fishing for bass at night, and often catching more and bigger fish?

I’d like some needlefish type lures around the size of a 6’’ senko, perhaps a little heavier - what are my options here in the UK?
Found a few needlefish lures over in the US which should be a good size for our bass and the rods we tend to use
