Vive la France

Waking up on Saturday morning to find out that 129 innocent people were slaughtered overnight in Paris in my mind is an affront upon the way so many of us live our lives. I have been going to France since I was eight years old. I love France and its people. I love the way they do their thing and won’t stand for any crap. I speak a bit of French but wish I spoke it like I used to when I was about 18 or so, and I love doing some work with the French company Fiiish. All their friends and families are ok, and I would hope that any decent human being’s heart goes out to the innocent people who were killed and all their families who are now mourning the sudden and brutal loss of a loved one, torn from them in a blink of an eye.

France will not give in to these terrorists any more than the rest of the western world will. We stand as one against this behaviour, and as a new week starts, one can’t help but wonder what on earth is going on with the world that there is so much hatred flying around. I think about those shattered families that face this week with so much grief in their hearts, and I wonder how on earth the human heart can deal with such adversity. Vive la France.
