A hugely impressive Japanese lure rod brand, Tailwalk are becoming increasingly easily available here in the UK - various prices, loads of different specs, I am finding more and more Tailwalk rods that are floating my boat.

Tailwalk Hi-Tide TZ S90ML 9’ 7-24g

Holy cow do I want to own this sublime lure fishing rod, and it’s doubly hard to resist because my mate Mark has one and seems to be smiling all the time while he is fishing with it - it’s that good. This Tailwalk Hi-Tide TZ S90ML 9’ 7-24g lure rod is not at all cheap, but with how delightfully versatile it is I reckon it’s worth every single penny of it’s £400+ RRP here in the UK. If I could design a lure rod to fish with the OSP DoLive Sticks then this Tailwalk Hi-Tide TZ S90ML 9’ 7-24g would be it for starters, but in reality it does a lot more than that. With how I do so much of my bass fishing, I could use a rod like this so much. See how I’m talking myself into buying one?! Check out my review here.

Tailwalk Salty Shape Dash Seabass 90ML 9’ 7-28g

Wow. For ages now my sub-£200 9’ yardstick lure rod has been the mighty Major Craft Skyroad 9’ 10-30g, and finally I have found a rod to live with it - this Tailwalk Salty Shape Dash Seabass 90ML 9’ 7-28g lure rod is simply incredible and I can’t really imagine how any bass angler could not love fishing with this thing. Nice and fast, loads of feel, I love how it’s under the £200 mark here in the UK, and this rod is easily as good as the 9’ Skyroad. Check out my review here.

Tailwalk Salty Shape Dash 90M 9’ 10-35g

As with the slightly lighter 7-28g version above, wow! Such an easy lure rod to like. It smacks of serious quality, I like how this Tailwalk Salty Shape Dash 90M 9’ 10-35g is a logical progression in power over the 7-28g version, but without losing that feel element. A rod that I reckon is very well suited to a lot of UK and Irish bass fishing, this Salty Shape Dash 90M 9’ 10-35g is another peach from the Tailwalk stable. See my review here.

Tailwalk Salty Shape Shore Stick S86ML 8'6'' 10-30g - 2014 version

You can’t really go wrong with a lure rod like this - the Tailwalk Salty Shape Shore Stick S86ML is 8’6’’ long and rated to cast 10-30g. It’s a powerful lure fishing rod that I reckon does all that I ask of it really well - lots of feel, nice and light, a fast action with a muscular kind of tip, and it seems to be really well built with Fuji K-guides etc. The sort of lure rod that would suit so many anglers really well. Check my review here.

The newer 9' version of this rod is now available here in the UK, check here
